When we all hold hands to support persons with disabilities, there is so much more they can achieve.
Many children and young people with disabilities have the potential to achieve great things. Sometimes, they simply need the right support and opportunity.
Sharma was born with spina bifida. With support along her journey, she has continued pursuing her education and has now been selected to continue her studies at Nkhotakota Secondary School, one of Malawi’s prestigious government secondary schools.
This is no small achievement.
Sharma’s story reminds us that children born with spina bifida should not be defined by their condition or circumstances. With the right care, support and opportunities, they can learn, grow and pursue their dreams.
